Cannot unlock iOS Safari extension

Recently, I have been unable to unlock the iOS Safari extension with the passkey beta. It seems to me like they may be unlinked? Or something else in the flow causes it to fail to unlock.
Is there something I am doing incorrectly? Vault is signed in fine & I am using FaceID to unlock after 5 minutes of inactivity.

Below are steps I am taking to unlock the safari extension:
1. Click 1Password extension from the menu.

  1. After clicking, I get the popup below. Note that both FaceID unlock & "Sign in with Passkey" unlock are shown. Immediately, FaceID auth/animation go through & the FaceID icon disappears.

  2. Nothing happens after that, just left with "Sign in with Passkey" option. I click this and it redirects me to a 1Password sign-in page in Safari.

  3. On 1Password sign-in page, I choose "Use Passkey" option & initiate passkey auth.

  4. After completing passkey auth, I am asked to grant access via the 1Password App request.

  5. I go to the App, get the code, navigate back & fill in the code. After submitting, I am left with error message "Unable to sign-in with Passkey".

  6. At this stage, I am back at square one with the iOS Safari extension still being locked.

Any ideas on this? It was working previously, but does not work anymore. Also, if I go to a website to fill in credentials from 1Pass, the icon shows locked. When I click to unlock, FaceID triggers and nothing else happens. It still stays locked.

    Thank you for helping us test passkey unlock! It looks like 1Password for Safari is having trouble authenticating. Please try the following steps:

    1. Fully close Safari on iOS.
    2. Fully close 1Password on iOS.
    3. Open and unlock the main 1Password app from your home screen.
    4. Open Safari and go to any webpage.
    5. Tap on the AA icon in the address bar.
    6. Tap on 1Password in the menu.
    7. Follow the prompt to unlock 1Password for Safari.

    Does this resolve the issue or do you see the same behaviour? I look forward to hearing from you.
