Authentication gets stuck on iOS with two accounts
I just added a work account to my iPhone’s 1P install (I’ve had a personal account for years). After doing so, all attempts to authenticate using Face ID get me to a blank screen, for both personal and work accounts. This leaves me dead in the water as I can’t log in anywhere using a passkey, for example.21Views0likes2CommentsIssues with opening the app on multiple devices
Why does the app suck so much across devices lately. I have issues on iPad, iPhone and Mac. With the app just not opening when I press on the icon or the keyboard shortcut. I’ve been through the pain with support before of diagnosing issues like this and reinstalling the app etc but I shouldn’t have too. How wide spread are these issues because I get them on every device and they come and go. They’re more common for sure on iPad and iPhone. But lately Mac is not far behind but at least with the Mac app fully closing it and restarting it pretty much always fixes the issue.16Views0likes1CommentUnable to recover account frozen from unsubscribed family.
Dear 1Password Team, I would like to escalate a serious issue regarding the recovery process that seems quite illogical and leaves users like me stuck without any viable solution. I was previously part of a Family plan on 1Password. After some time, the Family owner unsubscribed from the plan, and as a result, I was automatically logged out from all browsers. When I tried to log back in via the web, I received an error stating that my user account has been deleted. However, I still have access to my 1Password app on my iPhone where my data and vaults are still present — though marked as frozen. I attempted to generate a recovery code and followed the recovery procedure, but it ultimately failed. Now, as I am registering for a new Family plan, I find myself completely blocked from transferring or recovering my existing data, even though: My account and vault data still exist and are fully accessible on my iPhone. The app still recognizes my previous vault but simply locks new changes because of the frozen state. There is no official option to link this existing local data to my newly subscribed Family account. I find it quite unreasonable that the system offers no migration or recovery path despite the fact that my data is intact and accessible on my device. In effect, I am being forced to lose all my stored information and start over, solely because the previous Family owner unsubscribed. This creates a highly frustrating user experience and puts user data at unnecessary risk of loss. I believe 1Password should have a better solution for such scenarios — at the very least, provide a way to re-activate or migrate frozen local vaults into a new subscription. Please escalate this issue to your technical or product team. I look forward to your assistance and hope a reasonable solution can be provided. Thank you.23Views0likes1CommentProvide additional information on the Devices list
In light of email received regarding versions that will be considered deprecated effective May 1, it would be helpful if the Linked to your Account device list on the My Profile view included the version info. This would be helpful to both users and administrators alike.Solved93Views0likes3CommentsTrouble signing in when one account has SSO and one has biometrics
We recently switched from LastPass to 1Password at work. I have been using 1Password personally for a few years, so I simply added the account to the few devices that benefit from both accounts coexisting (iPhone, iPad, both running iOS 18.3). The work account enforces a SSO through Google which seems to cause a hang up in the sign-in process for autofill when I have biometric sign-in enabled for my personal account. The sign-in interface will unlock my personal account, the 1Password lock icon will turn about 45 degrees, and then seemingly it attempts to use biometrics for the work account as well. Instead of failing and requiring the Google sign-in, the interface locks up, graying out the Google SSO option but not allowing me into the personal account either, and requiring me to open the full app and copy-paste log in credentials. Any help or workaround would be appreciated! 1Password Version: 8.10.56 Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: iOS 18.3, iPadOS 18.3 Browser: Not Provided46Views0likes1Comment
