1Password 7 deprecation
Hey skatch! đ
I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Change isnât always easy, and I get that moving to a new version can bring mixed feelingsâespecially if 1Password 7 was working well for you.
That said, I have to admit, Iâm struggling to figure out exactly whatâs frustrating you about 1Password 8. You mentioned âfundamental issues,â but didn't actually mention what those issues are, so itâs tough to know whatâs actually getting in your way. If thereâs something in particular thatâs slowing you down, weâd love to hear about it. Otherwise, weâre left guessingâwhich isnât particularly helpful for either of us. đ
As for the deprecation, just to clear things up, this isnât a blanket end-of-life for all versions of 1Password 7.
Whatâs being deprecated:- All versions of 1Password 6.
- Older versions of 1Password 7. Specifically, any version older than
- Windows: 7.9.836 (build 836)
- Mac (App Store): 7.9.11 (build 70911001)
- Mac (Direct Download): 7.9.11 (build 70911000)
- iOS: 7.10.2 (buid 71002000)
- Android: 7.9.4 (build 70904004)
This means that if youâre already on the latest version of 1Password 7, youâre still in a supported state, though weâd still recommend upgrading to 1Password 8 for ongoing security and performance improvements.

So to be clear, if I'm using 1Password 7.10.2 on my iphone and 1Password 8 on my mac, which I currently do, everything will continue to work? This is important because my iphone does not support 1Password 8.

Correct! If you've got 7.10.2 installed on your iPhone, you can continue using 1Password 8 on your Mac as you currently are. No changes required. đ
