3 years ago1Password 8 – Missing the option to choose default vault
I can't seem to find the option to set the default vault for new items.
This is a problem because my team uses 1Password at work as a means to share sensitive logins etc. and I've accidentally stored numerous passwords and notes in my private vault since upgrade to 1P8 as opposed to the shared team vault, which means no one on my team can access them.

No, this is just for saving within the browser. It does not apply to the desktop apps.

1P_Tommy Out of curiosity, if I adjust it in the web app will this setting be picked up by the desktop app?
Regardless I've gone ahead and deleted 1Password 8 and re-installed 1Password 7 – there were just too many missing settings and inconvenient changes in 8.

There is no default vault configuration in the desktop app. However, if you are using 1Password in the browser you can configure a default vault save to vault that will save any logins you create using it. I have let the team know you're interested in this feature returning to the apps.
- This can be set by the browser if you have on for work and one for personal use.
- Right-click on 1Password in the browser in your browsers toolbar.
- Select settings.
- Set the desired saving vault.
