1Password 8 freezes when unlocking through the Chrome browser extension

One more voice in the crowd - this is regularly disrupting my work

if is the same, downgrade to 1Password 7 seem to get rid of the issue, not ideal. but it works 🤷‍♂️. (#workaround)

on the side note, we would appreciate if this get prioritise and fix in 1Password 8. going backwards is never ideal

Same issue. Autofill freezes Chrome, I and have to restart the browser.

What a great thread. One "have you tried turning it off and on again" answer from the support, tons of bug reports, really why bother, 1P. You had been a really great product years ago, with every new major release it shows absolute lack of connection with your users. Terrible UI changes, CSS trickery no one asked for, broken integration between browser and system, and now this.

It's already months since the issue started, this issue makes 1P completely unusable. And not only 1P but even the browser itself, so basically you're sabotaging work and wasting thousands of hours of people's lives.

It's not a 3 seconds delay, it's 2 minute delays on every single attempt to use 1P consuming 100% cpu. The service is paid for and you're delivering zero promised value.

Mine also hangs for a minute or more, really depends how long chrome has been open. It seems to get exponentially worse as chrome and my Mac stay online. Usually works pretty flawlessly for a couple of days when I reboot the computer. Not ideal or really usable in that way though.

Just upgraded to 1Password 8 and the Brave/Chrome extension is constantly freezing when I'm attempting to login, really disruptive and constantly happening throughout the day.

lmao checking my Chrome version to log the above comment triggered an update check and now I have to restart Chrome again because of the Chrome code signing bug.

A good 20 minutes I've lost here. Get it together y'all.

+1, been going on for weeks and just happened again. Only this time Chrome completely froze when I tried to autofill a login and I had force quit it after about 10 minutes. 1P beachballed for ~5 seconds after restarting Chrome, but then worked normally.

Same issue here and I'm getting really tired of it. Mine hangs up the system even longer than what many of you are sharing. Mine can sometimes lock everything up for over a minute.
