1Password 8 search results

I find it frustrating that the search in 1P8 just shows a set of "autocomplete" style results instead of filtering the list of items. I recently learned that I can type command-return to get the actual list of results. Is there any way I could make the command-return behavior the default for my installation? I really find the current default behavior unhelpful and confusing.

Furthermore, once I get the search results the sort option disappears. Why? It is often valuable to sort search results just as it is valuable to sort the whole list of items. Please bring back sort options for search results.

Thanks!

Hi @efc, thanks for your feedback on search in 1Password 8.

We do have an open feature request with our developers for an option to make the command-return ("Show all matching items") toggleable as a potential default. I have just added a vote on your behalf for that feature. 👍

In case it's helpful, I'd like to highlight the find feature, which we recently added to 1Password 8. This is a secondary way to search for things, and I wonder if it might better meet your needs. On MacOS, you can use opt + cmd + f to invoke this feature. I'll be curious to know what you think!

I have added a vote for you as well, esquared. Thanks again for your input on this.
