1Password app slow to appear on bootup

I have a Windows11 system with 64GB RAM and a AMD 5900XT. 1Password for Windows 8.11.18 (81118036) takes 30 seconds to show up in the systray. The desktop icons show up right away.  Startup impact shows "Not measured" for 1Password app.

  • Hello Fedup! 👋

I'm sorry for the delay in replying. Do you have any other third-party apps that launch at startup? If you then do they start slowly as well? Or is it just 1Password? Can you also tell me the following:

    1. Are you still seeing the issue when using the latest versions of 1Password for Windows and Windows?
    2. Does Quick Access appear if you press Ctrl - Shift - Space bar? Or does it only launch after the tray icon has appeared?
    3. If you turn off the other third-party apps that launch at start-up, does 1Password start faster?

I look forward to hearing from you.

I spent a week and hours tracking down this issue. It seems that Windows11 app start up delay was the culprit in addition to my Eset Endpoint antivirus. Disabling app start up delay seems to have fixed the issue. I now have 1Password showing up in about 40 secs after Windows starts loading.  Previously it was taking up 2 mins for 1Password to show up on the first cold boot up of the day.

Hi Fedup , thanks for the update. I'm glad you were able to identify the factors involved, and that disabling Windows' app startup delay has reduced the time it takes for 1Password to appear after startup.

If you continue to see any longer-than-expected delays, let us know, and we'll be happy to dig into this further with you.
