1password couldn't complete its update - alternate temp directory
I have an issue where 1password now constantly fails to update, showing me: Error: 5-PermissionDenied This started after I moved my temp folders (system and user) to a ramdrive. I tested this issue...
Thank you, the directory was not read-only but I found that changing my channel to beta worked. Thanks for the troubleshooting steps!

I'm sorry that you're running into issues when updating 1Password. The logs that you posted include the following:
ERROR 2025-08-28T15:46:23.743+00:00 main(ThreadId(1)) [1P:op-windows-starter\src\transaction.rs:207] 1Password cannot be installed because the app directory is either in use or in read-only mode
Can you verify that the app data folder isn't set as read-only using this guide.
If that still doesn't work then I'd like to ask you to create and share a complete 1Password diagnostics report from your Windows PC:
Send a diagnostics report (Windows)
Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support@1password.com
With your email please include:
