Hello folks,
Our developers have fixed an issue where the 1Password browser extension could become unresponsive in Firefox and cause abnormally high CPU usage. Please update to the latest version (8.11.4.27):
Thank you for your patience as we worked to develop and release a fix. If you're still seeing issues after updating then please send an email to support@1Password.com so that our team can investigate further.-Dave

3 months agoHello everyone,
We're aware of reports from some customers that 1Password in Firefox can become unresponsive or use excessive CPU in certain cases. Our development team is currently investigating and I want to thank everyone who has sent in information so far.
For the time being, the following should help workaround the issue until the next time that you close your browser:
- Disable 1Password in Firefox: Disable or remove Add-ons
- Open Task Manager (on Windows) or Activity Monitor (on Mac) and force quit the Firefox process. Don't close Firefox normally, the process has to be closed.
- Re-open Firefox.
- Enable 1Password in Firefox.
We've also confirmed that creating a new Firefox profile appears to get things working in the new profile as well. I'll update this thread as soon as I have more information to share.
