Whenever I update or create a new login a 1Password notification pops up in the notification centre (password saved/login saved/...).

Here are the steps to disable these notifications:
- Open your browser
- Right click the 1Password icon in your browser toolbar and choose 'Settings'
- Scroll down to 'Notifications' and toggle off 'Allow 1Password to show system notifications'.
I hope this helps, let us know if you have any questions!

This does not work in Safari for the Mac now. Also, I personally would like to stop having it tell me I should save passwords in 1Password that are already there, or at least shove those into the notification center as a quickie rather than grabbing focus.

I'm sorry that you're seeing unwanted notifications from 1Password in Safari. So that I can better understand the situation, can you post a screenshot of the notification that you're seeing?

I shut it off via Safari Notifications - the first couple of times I tried the submenu didn't come up, but then it did.
It's the one that tells me the password was saved — well, I logged in with it, so I don't need to be told, and it sits there till removed. I shut off "Allow ... system notifications" by right clicking on the icon in the toolbar.
However... for some reason also when I log in successfully it often asks me to update the existing login.

I'm sorry for the delay in replying. You can turn off the "Save Login" prompt by following these steps:
- Open your browser.
- Right-click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and click Settings.
- Click Autofill & save.
- Turn off "Offer to save logins". You can also turn off the other auto-save options if you wish.
I hope that helps.-Dave
