1Password notifications in notification centre
Whenever I update or create a new login a 1Password notification pops up in the notification centre (password saved/login saved/...).
Is it possible to turn these notifications off?

This does not work in Safari for the Mac now. Also, I personally would like to stop having it tell me I should save passwords in 1Password that are already there, or at least shove those into the notification center as a quickie rather than grabbing focus.

5 months agoI'm sorry that you're seeing unwanted notifications from 1Password in Safari. So that I can better understand the situation, can you post a screenshot of the notification that you're seeing?

I shut it off via Safari Notifications - the first couple of times I tried the submenu didn't come up, but then it did.
It's the one that tells me the password was saved — well, I logged in with it, so I don't need to be told, and it sits there till removed. I shut off "Allow ... system notifications" by right clicking on the icon in the toolbar.
However... for some reason also when I log in successfully it often asks me to update the existing login.

I'm sorry for the delay in replying. You can turn off the "Save Login" prompt by following these steps:
- Open your browser.
- Right-click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and click Settings.
- Click Autofill & save.
- Turn off "Offer to save logins". You can also turn off the other auto-save options if you wish.
I hope that helps.-Dave

The issue was really for when it already saved the login. The default behavior is to tell us that it's already saved it. Setting is within Safari (right click on 1Password icon), notifications, Allow 1Password to show unlock notifications.
I would argue it makes sense to have that off by default, since it gets in the way and it's not exactly obvious how to shut it off. As I recall from three months ago, it doesn't go into ordinary notifications, but I might be wrong about that.
I miss 1Password 7 overall but I do appreciate the built in two-factor codes for sites where security isn't important enough to merit a physical key... the sites where security matters tend to be the ones that don't let you have a physical key! (Also appreciate the passcode support.)
