If you use Safari as your main browser, then 1Password 7 previously did include the extension as a bundle, but we've split it out into its own thing, so that it can be updated separately without having to update all of 1Password, and to have feature parity with the other browsers' extensions as well. We do see some customers who miss the prompt to install the extension(s) when 1Password 8 first runs, but luckily it's easy enough to solve afterwards.
