8. How to export to .csv???
Hi all :)
I want to export my vault as a backup to a .csv file.
When I try exporting I get a .1pux file (whatever that is??). Is it still possible to export to .csv? If not it is very disappointing! If yes, how?
Cheers

That was a bit complex for me but managed to get it working and it did exactly what I wanted.
They really need to add this function back into the app to make it easy. Thanks for pointing me to that, much appreciated!

See the converter suite's README.

Hi there,
I need a way to be able to read my data outside of 1Password.
It doesn't have to be beautifully formatted, just readable. One row per record with columns or CSV type delimiters splitting out each field in the record.
For example
I keep backups in case I lose access to 1Password, regardless of reason.
Thank you

Is there a way to import the PUX file into Word, Excel, etc that will make it usable?
Can you define what you mean by "usable" ? By that I mean, what is your intended purpose?

Hi,
It's Oct 17, 2022, just under 1 year since the post near the top of this thread saying better export features are coming to version 8.CSV export still only exports a handful of passport fields with record types like Server and others not being included in the export.
The PUX export may have all data but it's unreadable by a human. I looked up one of my 'Server' records. The name of the record is in 1 part of the file and the various fields are in a different part of the file. I was only able to locate it by looking for unique key words in the record.
Is there a way to import the PUX file into Word, Excel, etc that will make it usable?
I really thought after a full year we'd have export options that were available for years in the prior version.
Other useful features are also missing that the previous versions had like the ability to drag fields to reposition them, or change a field type without deleting it and being forced to create it at the bottom of the record.I've been using 1Password for a decade and it's painful to see features and functionality disappear.

1PUX is some proprietary format that MAY be able to imported by another app, but is NOT one that I, as a non developer end user can easily access my data in, like a CSV format.
If 1Password were authentic in their claim that they respect that a customer's data is theirs then they would allow a customer to EASILY export ALL their data in a readily consumable and non proprietary format like CSV, Instead they only allow a limited set of data to be exported in CSV. There is no logical reason for this other than want to increase the friction for a customer to migrate elsewhere ... and it is exactly that attitude why, after 10 years, I unsubscribed today. I'll take the hit now and move on before I get further locked into to company that, of late, has demonstrated that it is more concerned with pretty icons, a clean UI and misrepresentation (that Agilebits claim v8 is an improvement is farcical in the context of the many downgrades it brings over v7). On top of all that they are now engaging archaic customer lock in tactics ... a clear sign that they have no confidence they can retain a customer by just delivering an ever improving product better than the rest.

You can export your account vaults as 1PUX, which includes all of your data, as well as your documents.

I have just read this thread in dismay. I cannot believe that 1Password have such contempt for it's existing customers as to push them into v8 without the ability for them to export THEIR data in full. This is the final straw for me. 1Password have lost the plot.
