Adding 1Password to Vivaldi
With Firefox destroying itself, I'm trying out Vivaldi as an alternate browser. I was hoping for some guidance in how to get the browser extensions to function correctly, as Vivaldi is not, apparent...

Do I need to connect to Vivaldi within 1PW settings as well? As Vivaldi itself is not listed is this a thing which I have to to even when running the extension?
Is there any advantage in doing so?

6 months agoThanks for reaching out. Once you install 1Password in Vivaldi from the Chrome Web Store everything should work automatically: Chrome Web Store
Is something not working on your end? Let me know and I can help further.

Is there any way to get this extension without installing Chrome or having a Google account? I view them as malware. On the Chrome Web Store the "Install Chrome" button is in blue and the "Add to Chrome" button below that is grayed out. Could 1PW make this extension available somewhere else?
Any chance of getting first party support of 1PW like Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, & Brave. Maybe another way of asking would be: What's the next browser that's most likely to be added with easier install support? Opera?

Thanks for reaching out. In my experience you shouldn't need a Google account or Chrome to install extensions from the Chrome Web Store. If the install button is greyed out then check to see if you're blocking javascript on the page.
Can you also tell me which browser you're using?

When I went back tried again - this time the "Add to Chrome" button changed the "Add to Vivaldi" and it did work! The same link also worked with Opera.🙌
I use Safari most of the time with Brave & Opera as my a backup browsers when Safari fails. Some people mentioned liking Vivaldi so I thought I'd give it a try. I haven't found how to stop the annoying operation where Vivaldi opens in full screen mode on a separate desktop. It doesn't do this on my family laptop. Firefox got uninstalled most places - due to their stance on Ai and weaselyness about selling user data.
Thanks for the reply - I don't understand why it didn't work before 🤷♂️
