Android LineageOS 19.1 Sync via WLAN Server not functional

Setup 1Password on Android LineageOS 19.1. Managed to Sync once via WLAN server (took several attempts). However any additional attempt to sync via WLAN server result in a notification Sync failed ....

I don't need attachment sync. However even connecting to WLAN server is very spotting. Various attempts on the same network do not result in the android app finding the WLAN server. Steps in https://support.1password.com/cs/wlan-server/ are very straight forward but do not work for me.
