Another "Disable on localhost" feature request

I'm sure I can't be the only one who wants this and would find it extremely helpful, but a way to have 1Password to stop offering to autofill and/or generate logins for any localhost(or 127.0.0.1) domain with any port and path suffix.

I saw the suggestion for disabling 1Password in private windows, but this isn't a real solution. And regardless it doesn't work for me as sometimes I want and need session data persistence.

I also tried manually setting up the the browser extension to "Never fill on this website" for localhost and even specified the port in the url and no matter what, it keeps popping up and hindering my work flow.

Can we please, please, please get this as a feature.

  • Hello aug! 👋

Thank you for reaching out. Can you try the following:

    1. Navigate to the localhost page in question until you see the form that you don't want 1Password to generate suggestions for.
    2. Right-click on the page and click 1Password - Password Manager > Hide on this page.

Let me know if that doesn't fit your needs.

That did the trick, thankyou! :D I saw in the settings there's a way to reset the list of ignored websites/webpages, is there a way to manually add to and/or view/edit this list?

You can add a website to the hidden pages list by selecting "Hide on this page" using the steps in my previous post. You can also completely clear the list by following these steps:

        1. Open your browser.
        2. Right-click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and click Settings.
        3. Click Autofill & save.
        4. Scroll down and click Reset hidden pages.

If you'd like to just remove a single page from the list then you can right-click on the page in question and click 1Password - Password Manager > Hide on this page again to remove the checkmark and the page from the list. There isn't currently a way to view the list but I'll let the team know that you'd like to see that feature be added in the future.
