App Store telling me I should update??? But I downloaded directly from 1Password?

Hi! Pretty much the subject line is the question. I downloaded 1Password from the 1P website and have been updating from 1P menu bar "check for updates" - and I am up-to-date according to the latter. However two days ago the App. Store began notifying me of an update --- should I be updating from the App Store?
