Apple watch won't unlock 1p8

Getting a spinning wheel which will eventually just die when trying to unlock with my Apple watch. Worked fine before I upgraded to v8. Also, would recommend adding UI element to cancel this spinning wheel so I can at least enter my password without waiting ~30seconds.
