Apps that don't work with Autofill
New user, testing out 1Password....I understand that 1Password doesn't support accessibility on Android. This is a challenge because too many apps have terrible logins that don't play well with autofill. What are the options other than copy/paste or split screen for these apps that would normally work with accessibility since that isn't an options? Here are some examples of some notorious apps that stick out. I use Gboard if that makes a difference. This is a bit of a make/break situation for me with 1Password.

Hey rzzz, thanks for joining this thread!
1Password has never worked in "Android Settings > Accounts and backup > Manage Accounts> Add Account".
Could you elaborate on this? Are you trying to add a 1Password account to your 1Password app?
I always had to switch to another password manager to fill in the login that I wanted. Is there a plan to fix this?
Major apologies that Autofill is not working on your device, and this is definitely not expected behaviour. Is this occurring in apps, sites, or both? Would you be able to list some examples so we can test them on our end?
Is there a plan to support Accessibility based filling in the future?
1Password 8 for Android is supported on devices running Android 9 or later. The Autofill features available on these versions of Android are capable of delivering the same or better features than Accessibility-based filling with less impact on performance and battery life. Because of this, there currently is not a plan to bring Accessibility-based filling into the mix.

1Password has never worked in "Android Settings > Accounts and backup > Manage Accounts> Add Account". "Below the fields" option didn't help. TBH, it also never helped with the filling issues I have with other apps. I always had to switch to another password manager to fill in the login that I wanted. Is there a plan to fix this? Is there a plan to support Accessibility based filling in the future?

Thanks for the update, lesster!

FYI using the beta and prompts below fields also got autofill working in the BoA app, so yay!

Hi @rahC, thanks for writing in.
1Password 8 for Android uses Autofill based filling not Accessibility based filling so it would be expected not to appear there. I did some testing with Discord and I was able to fill an item there. I'd like to ask you to update to our beta or set filling prompts below fields then check if the behavior improves.
* Use 1Password beta releasesTo set prompts below fields:
1. Open and unlock 1Password for Android.
2. Tap the account or collection icon.
3. Tap Settings > Autofill.
4. Tap Display Autofill prompts > Below the fields they relate to. - Former Member
Having the same issue when using the Discord app.
The app even has a little prompt underneath the login form for "Using a password manager" that reads:
"If you use a password manager, you'll need to allow it in Accessibility Settings -> Downloaded Services. Don't worry, we can take you there"The issue is that 1P8 doesn't appear in my downloaded services, just my Microsoft Authenticator.
I've noticed 1P8 also not autofilling some other apps (can't remember the names, new phone, did a lot of setups today). Have got auto-fill set in the settings to use this app too.

Hi @daveturn thanks for writing in. For Amex, setting prompts below fields or disabling the "remember me" feature and filling from the username fields should help. To set prompts below fields you can follow these steps:
1. Open and unlock 1Password for Android.
2. Tap the account or collection icon.
3. Tap Settings > Autofill.
4. Tap Display Autofill prompts > Below the fields they relate to.For Bank of America, 1Password can only fill the username field. I'm not sure if this is something that is blocked by BoA or behavior we could approve on our end but it has been reported to the team regardless.
Let me know if setting prompts below fields has helped!

I'm having the same problems. Certain bank and credit card apps fill perfectly. Others, such as Amex, Bank of America, etc, not only fail to autofill, but fail to show an option tap 1password to open.

Hi Brrry thanks for your input. 1Password 7 did include a keyboard and I understand that it was beneficial for some users workflow. That being said, it was not without its flaws and ultimately didn't save a lot of taps compared to the other options available. Development continues to optimize and expand 1Password for Android's Autofill feature in a number of different ways and we are also looking into a few different quick fill alternatives for when Autofill isn't available.
Thanks for your input on this! I've share your comments with the team for their consideration.
@cfbenbow, thanks for clarifying that. I'd like to ask you to try setting prompts below fields:
1. Open and unlock 1Password for Android.
2. Tap the account or collection icon.
3. Tap Settings > Autofill.
4. Tap Display Autofill prompts > Below the fields they relate to.Do you now see the "Open 1Password" prompt in the ATAK app? If not, let me know the menu flow to reach the sign in forms where this has been an issue.
Thanks for writing in @badcom. We're aware that some keyboards are giving priority to the number strip over the suggestion strip in secondary fields (usually a password field). The team here is working on a solution from our end but for the time being, setting prompts below fields should help bypass the keyboard.
Thanks again!

I'm adding the Twitter app to the mix. It has a multi-step login which won't work if you have "Above supported keyboards" selected in the settings.
