Are the Category of "Passwords" Duplicative with "Logins"?

I just recently migrated to 1Password Families from a standalone version of 1Password and was wondering if I can go ahead and delete all the password values in my vault? They seem to be redundant with the passwords that are stored in the logins.

    Hi there @fastrhythm

If you have Password items as well as Login items, and if you find that those overlap, then yes, you can delete the Password items you don't need any more.

It might be that you generated a Password item previously and then copied that password into a new Login, or something like that. Only a guess though. The main thing is that you need to be satisfied that you're not deleting anything you still need, but considering you said they're "redundant", I'm working on the basis that you've already checked that. :)

    Side note:
Recently, we slightly changed how these items work. Now, if you have a Password item and edit it to include a username, it now automatically becomes a Login item instead. Previously, you had to manually convert it using a "Convert to Login" button, but now that's no longer necessary.

Hope that helps, but let me know if you need anything.
