Hello Tezcatlipoca, bwadm, and JerrySG! 👋
I'm sorry that Universal Autofill isn't working correctly, this is a known issue that I've been able to reproduce as well and a bug report has been filed with our development team to get this fixed. I've added all of your reports there.
For the time being, as a temporary workaround, please use 1Password in the browser to fill your login credentials in the browser: Get to know 1Password in your browser
When it comes to other apps, you can copy and paste your login credentials from the 1Password app. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

Tezcatlipoca and Speed
A fix was released in the latest beta to address an issue where Universal Autofill stopped working in all apps (not just Chromium browsers like Edge) due to a change made in the previous beta update. This specific issue did not affect the production version of 1Password.
Just to confirm: is Universal Autofill not working just in Chromium browsers like Chrome or Edge on your Macs? Or are you also seeing the issue in Safari and in other desktop apps as well?

Hi 1P_Dave . I'm using the beta version, as per my previous post:

Just tested Safari - that works now, but Chromium Edge still does not work.

Thanks Dave, I know you are trying to help and are just the messenger. I don't mean to give you a hard time. I have been using 1password since 2019 and it has been 100% trouble free. That has set a high bar and the expectation that 1password is great product. That confidence is unfortunately being broken by this issue not being resolved, not for weeks but months, but I digress.
I am running Safari 18.5 and have my 1password release channel set to "beta". As of a few minutes ago, this issue persists. 1password would not autofill my user name and password on a website. I still have to open a duplicate tab to get it to work.
Thank you for your help and engagement.

Thanks for the reply. The issue being discussed in this thread is autofill being broken when using Universal Autofill (the desktop app's filling feature) but it sounds like you're using the 1Password for Safari browser extension, is that right? I want to make sure that I understand the situation before offering advice.
If you try filling Command-Backslash, using Universal Autofill, then do you still see the same issue in Safari: Use Universal Autofill in apps and browsers on your Mac
If you are using 1Password for Safari to autofill then there is currently an issue in Safari where autofill will stop working in certain situations. Apple is currently testing a fix for the issue in Safari Technology Preview and we're hopeful that the fix will be released for the stable version of Safari soon as well.

Yep...it is absolutely crazy to me that this has been going on for months now without resolution. My credit card isn't going to work when it comes time to renew 1password.
