Bank accounts: Copy IBAN / Rename SWIFT
Copy IBAN
I often use Quick Access to fill in my bank account information in online shops. Unfortunately, I can only choose the account number (which no one uses) instead of the (mainly used) IBAN...

4 years agoAbout the workflow: at least in Germany, the IBAN is used everywhere for bank transfers and digital payment as sole and main account information. This is what you will use almost exclusively. Sometimes BIC is asked in addition, but it usually not. (BIC is what seems to be called SWIFT if I create a new bank account entry in 1Password 8).
Bank account number and routing number (in Germany: BLZ or Bankleitzahl) are not asked any more since IBAN has been established. You do rarely use them in correspondence with your bank, and nowhere else any more. Getting account number and routing number offered in quick access and IBAN+BIC not is not helpful. It needs to be the other way round: IBAN and BIC should be offered, but bank account number and routing number not. You will simply never use account number and routing number this way.
Some banks might use the account number as username for login to their online banking, but this would be an additional associated online-banking "login" entry, not in the bank account entry. At least I use use 2 different entries for my main bank account, since it is not practical to save the online banking login info along with the regular bank account info. It would be a mess if I did.
