Issue with 1Password Browser Extension Not Searching Note Fields
Hi,
I’m experiencing an issue with the 1Password browser extension (and also in 1Password Web) in Chrome where it’s not able to search within the notes field of stored items, such as passwords. However, searching notes works just fine in the 1Password desktop app.
This seems like a big oversight in functionality, especially when needing quick access to detailed information saved in notes. I suspect I may have missed a configuration step, but I’m not sure what to check or change.
Could anyone provide guidance or insight into why this might be happening and whether there’s a workaround to enable note searching in the browser extension?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Adding a +1 for having the search include notes!

Hello, alexlyteai. Thank you for reaching out.
The search functionality in the 1Password browser extension and web app operates differently than in the desktop app, as it doesn't include the notes fields from its search results. I've submitted a feature request to our product team on your behalf to enhance the consistency of search capabilities across all platforms in future updates.
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

I noticed the same problem today, using 1password app on Windows v8.10.58 and chrome extension v8.10.56. And this is not only for the notes field of login items, but also for "secure notes".
When searching from the top search bar, if I use the app it finds matches within secure notes; while with the extension it doesn't. This is pretty confusing!
Ok maybe even secure notes use the same "notes" field, just with the field name not shown in the UI.
