Being able to filter secrets in the archives based on the Vault they came from

Hi, I had to do a cleanup for one of my vault, so I sent those secrets first to the Archive, but now I only want to delete only those items from the archives, but I cannot find a way to filter the secrets in the archive based on the Vault they came from. Is it possible? If not, can it be added in a future version?

Thanks!

Thanks for following up here! In the 1Password app, you can use collections to only view archived items from a certain vault or vaults:

Alternatively, you can view the archive for each vault individually when you use the web app that's accessed when you log in to your 1Password account on 1Password.com (in the browser, not the app).

Tangentially related, I found it really surprising that there's still no way to simply "search in archive only" for an item, or any UX friendly indicator to see if a searched item is from the archive or not without clicking any every individual result.

While the search feature only searches active items, you can use the Find tool to search through items in the Archive:

    1. Open the 1Password app.
    2. Navigate to the archive.
    3. Press Ctrl-Alt-F to find items in the current list of items in the archive.

    I hope that helps.

That pretty much solves those points! I've yet to dig into the Collections feature. This gives me a good reason to now.

      Thank you!

Hello! Piggy backing on this old post instead of creating a new one, because the feature doesn't appear to exist.

Im writing this as a long time user/administrator of several 1Password accounts(since circa ~2014).

While doing some overdue house cleaning, I've been emptying an old vault (moving items to other places before archiving them) so that I could then delete said vault without loosing anything.

Once the vault was empty(or so I thought), I was faced with the attached message. "You have 13 archived items in this vault" with a helpful button to view these 13 archived items. These would be old logins that I archived a long time ago and forgot about.

Upon clicking "View Archived Items", I wasn't presented with these '13 items from the specific vault'. Instead I was dropped into a decade worth of archived items from every vault in my account with no practical way to filter the results.

This feels like a pretty consequential "quality of life" oversight considering that Archived items will grow exponentially, and 1Password has now been around for some time.

Tangentially related, I found it really surprising that there's still no way to simply "search in archive only" for an item, or any UX friendly indicator to see if a searched item is from the archive or not without clicking any every individual result.

Any chance of improving this behavior?

Sorry to pull up an old post but it seemed like an appropriate case for it :)

    Thanks for considering this!

    Hi @kinwolf:

I can definitely see how this would be handy, so I'll add this as a feature request to see if it can be improved in the future. As a workaround for now, the item details do contain which vault the item came from, so you can determine item by item which ones need to be deleted:

Let me know if you have any further questions!
