Biometric Login not working

I have biometric login set up on my Android device and password needed set to two weeks. Yet I'm asked to retype my password every time I open the app. That's kind of annoying as I have a fairly long...

I tried the steps of clearing cache & app data, then logging in again and entering all my information again.   Biometric login still  doesn't work and I have to type in my long password every time. Use the device login doesn't work either, maybe because that's biometric. I tried Face Unlock and got the usual "That didn't work.  Please try again", which just goes back into the same tedious loop.

This is a pain.
