We think that instead of creating more and more unusable shortcuts that users have to remember you should focus on making the app usable without them. For example, by making what MajorHavoc described to be the default behaviour.
Also. Just tried cmd + opt + f. Like what the actual f.
- Hard to press. Have you tried this shortcut?
- It creates an awkwardly placed invisible and inaccessible search field in place of the Categories dropdown. And feels misaligned because the margins are different. Invisible because there are literally no visual clues that it's a text field. So the question is: what was so difficult that you had to implement this as a separate field, and not as a behaviour in the main search field?
