Bring back the old search functionality, please! (Even tough I know you won't)
Before 1password8, the search field was a filter, filtering the list to only those items that contained the search value. You know, how you would expect a search function to work when searching at a ...

So. What we have now:
- The regular search. Called Search
Awkward to use, doesn't filter the list, creates an awkward dropdown. We've yet to find anyone who likes it.
To "appease" some users you've added a Cmd + Enter that filters the list. Thank god it focuses the list by default. Only now... you can't clear the search result from the keyboard. You have to reach for a mouse/trackpad to click the x
- The awkward hack in the form of Cmd+Option+F. Called Find.
It really looks like someone was so fed up with the search that just sneaked this in, it's so incongruent.
I've listed the issues here: https://1password.community/discussion/comment/650206/#Comment_650206
On top of those: the list isn't focused, and you have to tab twice to get to it with a keyboard. But you can press Esc to cancel the search... while you're in the field. No way to clear the search box without tabbing back.
But sure. You're "working on it" and "bringing improvements" and other platitudes we've heard for over a year now. So far all the improvements have been "if something was within one click in 1Password 7, or if there's something than can be reached with one click, we'll go out of our way to make sure it's hidden behind as many clicks as possible, but not less than two."
For those of us who are on a Mac, it's possible to set option 2 as the default. Go to System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> App Shortcuts.
Add shortcuts to 1Password:
- Edit->Find, set it to Cmd+F
- Edit->Search, set it to something else (I set it to Cmd+Shift+F)
Enjoy default behaviour that should've been there from the start.
