Browser Extension Unlock Shows Black Box

This might be just a MS Edge thing as that's the browser I'm using, but when I click to unlock the browser extension I'm just getting a small black box pop up on my screen. There's no content within ...

I'm sorry that you're running into a blank window when unlocking 1Password in Microsoft Edge. It sounds like you might be running into a known issue that our development team is currently working on. Can you try the following to see if it improves the situation:

  1. Open and unlock the 1Password 8 desktop app.
  2. In the top left, click ⋮ > Settings > Advanced.
  3. Uncheck the option to Use Hardware Acceleration.
  4. Fully quit and restart the app with Ctrl + Q or by right clicking the icon in the system tray > Quit.
  5. Relaunch 1Password and test whether you can still reproduce the black window.
