Bug: Edit -> Move and Edit -> Duplicate do not work

If I control-click on an item and select "Move…" or "Duplicate…" I get a nice window that lets me move or duplicate the item. But if I select an item, go to the Edit menu, and select "Move…" or "...

Strange that you can't replicate it, as Edit -> Move and Edit -> Duplicate consistently do not work for me. Also, I just discovered that Edit -> Share also does not work (while control-clicking on an item and selecting Share does work). If there is something I can do to help figure out what is going on, please let me know. Thanks.
