3 years agoCan 1Password email a shared login link to a specific user?
New user here and try as I might, after creating a login to a WordPress site in the browser app. and filling in the shared user email address, and choosing "only some people" they never receive the link,
I've read the docs but I can't get it to work. :-(
Any help appreciated.

If you choose to make the shared item available to "Only some people" then the recipient of the link will need to first verify their email address by providing a code that will be sent to them by 1Password in a separate email. This means that only the intended recipient is able to view the item that you've shared with them.
I hope that helps. 🙂

Thanks 1P_Dave
So what happens if I mistyped the email address? Say I meant to send it to "mailto:sal@somedomain.com" but instead my evil twin brother sent it to "mailto:sam@somedomain.com"
Won't sam now have the login creds to my hosting account or such?

Hello @NMLoki! 👋
I'm happy to hear that you were able to figure things out. You do indeed have to email the link to the recipient using your usual email app, 1Password doesn't have the ability to send an email itself.

Never mind. I see now that I have to email the link to the person I want to share with.
