Can I disable "Save Credit Card" from 1Password without disabling autofill?
Recently it seems that 1Password has decided to be very "helpful" and any time I type a credit card number in it offers to save it for me. I want to stop it from requesting to save my credit card numbers. Is there a switch to disable that? I looked around, but could not find a way to do it. I'm hoping I'm just missing it somewhere.

To follow up on this thread-- I was having this same issue. When I looked where 1P_David suggested there seems to be a new (to me) set of more granular options. I can keep "Offer to save logins" but disable "offer to save credit cards" (I proactively load these in) and "offer to save contact information" (same deal). If this feature is actually new, thanks 1P team!

Thanks for bringing up the newer features available in the 1Password extension's settings page under the Autofill & save section. These have been available for a bit of time now and it's great to hear that you've been making use of them.
Just to clarify, the "Offer to save credit cards" setting controls whether or not 1Password will automatically offer to save your pre-existing credit cards. If you're looking to prevent the "Save in 1Password" button from appearing within the inline menu's autofill suggestions, you can turn off the "Offer to save items in autofill suggestions" option within the extension's Autofill & save section.
The steps I shared here are for preventing the inline menu from appearing automatically when you click in a field.

1Password autofill for credit cards is OK but I would rather use Google to manage my cards since Google lets me use virtual cards. Your virtual card has to be registered with each merchant which is a pain.

Hi jammerdjc, thanks for reaching out!
I'm sorry that you're experiencing trouble with the inline menu when entering credit card numbers. Can you confirm if you have the 1Password extension set so that it doesn't show the inline menu when the field is in focus? Here's how you can check:
- Right-click the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar, then select "Settings".
- Click Autofill & save in the side panel.
- Make sure that "Show autofill suggestions when a form field is in focus" is turned off.
I look forward to hearing from you!
