Classic extension with 1Password 8
Hi chrispickslay:
Thanks for letting us know about this. Are you still running into trouble with this? Additionally, are you using 1Password in the browser, or the 1Password extension for Safari included with 1Password 7? Let me know!

mjyl, I see my colleague replied to your email. I appreciate the time you took to write in.
notnotjake, I'm glad to hear 1Password is now working as expected. Yes, you're correct. If 1Password for Safari is not in the /Applications folder, app integration won't work.
Let me know if there's anything else I can assist you with.

I had 1Password for Safari installed at ~/Applications/Safari Extensions/
It's now working again after:
* Uninstalling with https://formulae.brew.sh/cask/appcleaner
* Reinstalling at /ApplicationsI think perhaps 1Password and 1Password for Safari need to be kept in system Applications folder and that's why they weren't talking to each other or using biometrics?
Several users have reported the trouble has been resolved in the betas. If you'd like the team to look into your case in more detail, please use the following steps to create a diagnostic report.
- Open 1Password.
- Press Command and comma (Control and comma on Windows). The 1Password Preferences/Settings will open.
- Select Advanced.
- Select Send Diagnostics.
- Select Reveal to locate the report in your Downloads folder.

I'm having a similar problem with the 1password 8 mac app asking me to enter my 1 password at least 1 time a day despite setting the security settings to unlock with touch id and require a password every 2 weeks. When I do have to enter the password again, I immediately check the settings and somehow the setting to unlock with touch id has been deselected.
Can you check to ensure biometrics are enabled? Several users have experienced an issue where it (biometrics) had been disabled. I'm curious if you're in the same situation.

I am now seeing this issue again. In the browser extension (safari) it says: "Status: Problems Connecting. Make sure the 1Password app is unlocked". The 1Password App is unlocked, but I am still having issues. Anytime I use 1P in Safari, it is asking for my password instead of using biometrics.
