Custom icons for 1PW items
I just found the way to fix icons for Software Licenses - in Edit mode the little downward carat "v" shows up on the icon. Clicking on this brings up the text "Choose new icon..." selecting that brin...

Hi dxzdb! Thanks for your question.
Login items will add an icon from the rich icon server based on the url in the first listed website field. For Software License items, it's based on the name of the item. These are both assuming you have "Show app and website icons" turned on under Settings > Privacy, and that the icon exists in the server.
If an icon doesn't exist, or you'd like to name a license item something that doesn't match the software name, you can add a custom icon as you described while editing the item. To my knowledge, most common image file formats can be used for custom icons.
It looks like you linked to my colleague Simon's profile rather than a specific thread, so apologies if I was missing some context. Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks again!

I just started migrating from 1PW 7 to 8 on a new computer. And several of my items that previously had a great icon - just evaporated. I don't know how these got populated in the first place. If you were grabbing the favicon before I'd like to see 1PW8 do that too. I don't think most users would want to mess with these so picking up the favicon as soon as a website it touched would be a more universal answer.
Still, I'm seeing some inconsistencies between 1PW7 and 8
My examples are when I signed up for DisneyHuluMax I named the item D+Hulu_Max and somehow 1PW7 put the Disney logo on there for me. When I migrated to 1PW8 that was gone and it was a generic "D". When I renamed it to Disney+Hulu_Max it automatically figured it out Meanwhile I have another Disney account for another family member and that one I rename to Disney+ and the icon stays a D.
On the software license side - I have an app called Aeon Timeline and previously the 2 versions I have in 1PW have the favicon symbol which is what I want. In 1PW8 it's got two oddly formed icons - 1 is a sundial (which sort of is reminiscent of a timeline) the other is a generic badge like blue thing that I see on several other items (some without webpages). So what controls these now?
I just did another one where I added the website to my 1PW item (in 1PW7) and it immediately updated and synced to 1PW8. Maybe this is all just dependent on the particular site?
