Date format does not match locale
Hi,
After 1Password 8 I've noticed that the date formats no longer match my locale of English (UK) in the vault listings. The date is correctly formatted in the 'Last checked for updates' section of the About window, however.
I have 'Use System Defaults' selected for Locale in Advanced prefs, but dates show in the US format of 'mm/dd/yyyy' instead of 'dd/mm/yyyy' as expected.
Thanks
ks.

Hi @Mark1PW:
Thanks for your feedback on this. As I mentioned above, those are localized separately, and while I can't share any specific timelines, it is something we're aware and hope to have smoothed out soon. Glad to hear you're enjoying 1Password 8 so far! 😀

I'll second this request too. Since the upgrade to v8 (which looks great by the way!), the date formatting is in UK format in some places (such as About which shows the last update check in UK date formatting), but the password records created and modified, are al US formatting. This is on the Production channel build

Hi @fergie:
While I can't speak specifically as to why those are localized separately, what I can tell you is it's definitely something we're aware of and hope to have smoothed out in the future.

Thanks Jack_P_1P. I was on production, but have switched to Beta (release
80800011
) and can confirm that the date fields within the item are now localised properly, thanks. The modified and created dates at the foot of the item are not though - hopefully that's also being addressed? Strange how localisation settings don't apply to the whole app...

Hey @fergie:
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience there. Are you using the production release or the beta / nightly releases? We've recently made some improvements to date fields in items, and our beta and nightly builds now localize date fields inside an item.

+1. This isn't great and led me to enter an incorrect passport expiry date on a flight booking. Locale in Preferences > Advanced is set to "Use system defaults", which is set to English (UK) and doesn't even allow an override option. Not even English (Canada) :-p

Hey @ksLimbs:
This is something we're aware of, and actively tracking. Keep an eye out for updates, and hopefully we'll have this smoothed out soon. Thanks for reaching out!
