does 1password for ungoogled chromium not support the desktop integration feature on macOS?

Hey all, hope everyone is well! I thought I'd try out the ungoogled chromium browser (https://github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium), but sadly the 1password desktop integration feature doesn't seem to be working. it works on brave for me, and i did add ungoogled chromium under the "connect to additional browsers" tab. any help would be much appreciated!

1Password Version: 1Password for Mac 8.10.54 (81054022)
Extension Version: 8.10.55.2
OS Version: macOS 15.2
Browser: ungoogled chromium

      Hi, sorry replying back to this rather old thread, but I have exactly the same issue as ComfortableMilk4454. Did you reach a resolution in the support ticket, that I can potentially replicate?

      Thanks

        Thanks for reaching out! It looks like Ungoogled Chromium doesn't automatically create a NativeMessagingHost (NMH) file that other Chromium browsers so. Because of this app integration with the 1Password app, which uses native messaging, won't work. The good news is that you can create the file manually. After installing the 1Password browser extension in Ungoogled Chromium, add Ungoogled Chromium as a custom browser to the 1Password desktop app:

        1. Open and unlock 1Password for Mac.
        2. Click on 1Password next to the  in the menu bar.
        3. Click Settings.
        4. Click Browser
        5. Add Ungoogle Chromium.

        Then, open TextEdit and paste the following into the TextEdit window:

        {
          "name": "com.1password.1password",
          "description": "1Password BrowserSupport",
          "path": "/Applications/1Password.app/Contents/Library/LoginItems/1Password Browser Helper.app/Contents/MacOS/1Password-BrowserSupport",
          "type": "stdio",
          "allowed_origins": [
            "chrome-extension://hjlinigoblmkhjejkmbegnoaljkphmgo/",
            "chrome-extension://gejiddohjgogedgjnonbofjigllpkmbf/",
            "chrome-extension://khgocmkkpikpnmmkgmdnfckapcdkgfaf/",
            "chrome-extension://aeblfdkhhhdcdjpifhhbdiojplfjncoa/",
            "chrome-extension://dppgmdbiimibapkepcbdbmkaabgiofem/"
          ]
        }

        Save the file using TextEdit. Once the file is saved, right-click on the file in Finder and rename it to the following: com.1password.1password.json

        You'll see a message asking you to confirm the file extension, make sure to select .json.

        Then move the file to the appropriate location:

        1. Open Finder.
        2. Select the "Go" section on the top menu bar.
        3. Click "Go to Folder".
        4. Copy the following directory to the input field and hit return:
          • ~/Library/Application Support/Chromium/NativeMessagingHosts/
        5. Copy and paste the com.1password.1password.json file there.

        Completely close Ungoogled Chromium. Then open and unlock the 1Password desktop app and re-open Ungoogled Chromium. You should see that the 1Password browser extension is unlocked as well. If that doesn't work then restart your Mac and then open Ungoogled Chromium again after unlocking 1Password.

        Let me know if you run into any issues.
