Does the macOS Safari extension support the "Sign in with..." feature?

In the release notes for 1Password v8.9.8 I just found that Microsoft was added to the supported services for saving the "Sign in with..." information on websites. To me it seems this feature is just...

The blog post here: https://blog.1password.com/sign-in-with-other-providers/ doesn't mention Safari, just:

It works in 1Password for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave. You can even view and edit those logins directly with 1Password 8 for iOS and Android.

So what is actually the case?
