ESC shortcut to clear filtered results

Currently, when I type CMD+F cursor is taken to the Search field, so I can type a search word and results are filtered. Now, there is no way to clear the search results other than dragging your mouse over the little X (Cancel search) option. Please make the ESC key clear the search results (Cancel search shortcut).
