Feature request – native deduplication & merge for credential items
Hello 1Password team, TL;DR: Imports from browsers/other managers create lots of duplicate logins in 1Password. Cleaning them up now is manual, tedious, and risky (easy to delete or overwrite the...

Thank you for the very detailed feedback! Currently, if two items are exactly the same and in the same vault, you can also use 1Password's Watchtower tool to clean them up:
- Open and unlock the 1Password app.
- Open Watchtower.
- Click on Show Items under Items with duplicates.
That being said, I can see how a more sophisticated duplicate detector and merge tool would be useful. While such a tool isn't currently planned, I've filed a feature request on your behalf with our product team. We appreciate you sharing how 1Password could be made more useful for your needs.

Given the frequency and number of times we have requested this, not to mention folks who have working on creating their own, what do we need to do in order to put this at the top of the developers' feature request queue?
Given how well TheGuy has articulated this, creating that ticket should be mostly copy-n-paste.Note that I'm not ignoring the mention that you've "filed a feature request", but given how this has been requested since 1Password versions were in roman numerals, a new request buried in a pile of every other request for this feature seems like unnecessary work for a request deduplication tool, with the likely outcome being the one you already identified.
