Feature Request: add more "require password every ..." options (like every day)

The integration with macos fingerprint unlock is awesome but I'm pretty consistently forgetting my 1password password since I use it so infrequently. It'd be great if we could have an option to more frequently require the password to unlock 1password. I know this is probably a niche feature since most people would want to go the opposite way but it also seems pretty easy to implement.

  • Hello @bcb44! 👋

Thank you for the suggestion! I've filed a feature request on your behalf with our product team. 🙂

For now you can set 1Password to prompt you for your account password every two weeks even if you have Touch ID enabled:

    1. Open and unlock 1Password for Mac.
    2. Click on 1Password next to the  in the menu bar.
    3. Click on Settings.
    4. Click on Security.
    5. Set "Require password" to "Every 2 weeks".
