Feature request: Share lock state with the web app
HI
Please can a feature be added to manage the browser auto lock, and to also have the ability to not lock the extension if i close my browser.
Regards

We have the Desktop App installed and unlocked, but it does not manage the browser only the Desktop app and Extension.
So this clearly does not work.

4 months agoThanks for the reply. Can you clarify what you mean by "it does not manage the browser only the Desktop app and Extension"? If you have the desktop app installed then 1Password in the browser should lock and unlock at the same time as the desktop app.
So that I can better understand the situation can you tell me the following:
- Are you using a Windows PC or a Mac?
- What browser are you using?
- If you right-click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and click Settings then do you see a green dot in the browser settings page? Or a different coloured dot and an error message?
I look forward to hearing from you.

So if i browse to the 1Password URL and use the website to manage my employee vault, that has a separate setting that is not manageable on the admin console.

Aha. I might rephrase your feature request as, "Allow the browser extension and/or local app to unlock the web app and keep it unlocked."

Answers to your questions:
- Both MAC and Windows and the issue is on both as the max setting is 300 mins.
- Chrome and Edge and both have the same issue.
Yes, it is green, but that is again for the extension that is linked to the Desktop app, which is fine.

Thanks for the reply. The web app does indeed lock separately from the desktop app using the auto-lock settings found there: Manage auto-lock on 1Password.com
However, if you have the browser extension installed and the browser extension is unlocked then the browser extension should automatically sign you into the web app when you navigate to it or refresh the page. Let me know if that doesn't work.
