First time not always taken

I know this isn't me making mistakes entering my PW on the Edge browser, so I wanted to see if anyone else has been experiencing odd behavior.  Odd behavior specifically meaning that many times lately I go to enter my PW to login to a site and usually it takes first shot.

So, I first thought it was me, user error in typing through typing or something I hit, or the system interfered in PW transit.  No, I just hit it again and I know it was not a typo as I did it deliberately slow and the same PW was used to get in afterwards on another site.

My PW on the site last hitting this issue was usually working so it is very not likely the site, but I am open to any possibility.  The last site that caused the issue is Fandango.

Enough background, here is the action: I type the PW, and nothing opens as it always opens automatically once 1PW verifies it as ok.  So, I stare at the login boxes that are now empty and click on the Open PW icon and it asks me to login.  Apparently, 1PW did not take my last login.  No error even, just went back to initial login.  So many times, over the past month, I have been doing double duty.

One last thing and this is just a hunch is that when I entered the first time and before the login screen settled back to empty, there was something blindly quick stuff I could not see it was so fast.  Was it trying and failed but gave no response to me, was it a bird, plane?  It wasn't superman but it was - to me - a key to finding what was not going on correctly.

My guess is that the software should always, always send back a notification or signage once something doesn't go exactly right (cleanly).  Ergo, the system just hiccups in W11 or Edge or as mentioned earlier it was the target site itself.

I will do double duty, but thought it was time to test it once more and send a note.

  • Does it only happen on Edge?  I have three browsers and occasionally get login problems on at least one of them, so I try the same site on another and usually find it's a browser problem.

That's probably it if I laid odds, but I do not use other browsers much anymore, I got tired of them hanging around, but as we used to do at work for testing, it would be a good idea to load at least Chrome.  Edge used to have a reputation long ago of not being playing well in the sandbox as others.  Many customer or tech reps used to say do not use it or try another as your primary.  I think Edge is ok now, even OneNote, but I'll give Chrome a go.

Ironically, just trying to get in here it did it again and it did it earlier today.  It just refreshes and sits and looks at you like, log in why don't you.  Silly goose, what did I enter that long PW for anyhow.  lol.

Whoops.  First paragraph should be the odd behavior stated as NOT doing it the first time.  It takes a second shot same PW to get in.  Sorry I did not find an EDIT function and caught this last minute.
