Forgot 1password user name
Hello all, I've forgotten the username for another 1Password community account I have. When I choose the option to reset my password or username, the only option that is sent to my email is to reset my password. Thanks in advance for any help with resetting my username.

So, good news--I found an old email that had my username on it! For now, though, I'll stick with this thread, to see if anyone has a solution to my Bank of American app question.
That's good news, which I didn't see when responding to your earlier reply.
I strongly suggest a new post with a suitable title, tags, etc. for your Bank of American app question. You might even post with your newly recovered account.
Choosing Forgot your username or password on the login form, then providing the email address results in a message saying, "Follow the instructions to retrieve your username or password." and an email which begins,
Hi AJCxZ0,
We received a request to reset your password for your 1Password Community account at the following username: AJCxZ0.
The emphasis is not mine, but in the email.
What does the email say when you put in the address associated with your other account?
Another approach would be to search the forum for something you posted.
Thank you for your response. When I entered my other email, it tells me that it is already in use (as it should.) What's annoying is that, although the initial offer is to reset either your username or password, the only option eventually given is to reset your password. Also, I have thought of searching the forum, but it's been a long time since I posted here. Plus, not remembering my username makes finding my old posts difficult.
Where did you enter your other email? You are supposed to enter it in the field offered when you click Forgot your username or password on the login form in order to discover the username which you forgot.
The error about an address already being in use would not occur there.Since resetting a username in nonsense, I suggest you focus on the task of discovering your forgotten username as directed. Once you are reminded of the username, you can probably regain access to the account by resetting the password.
My suggestion of searching for old posts was to discover the username, so it's not made more difficult by not knowing it. If you don't recall anything about your posts as that user which could be found by a search, then this method would not be useful.
So, while I'm waiting for a response to my initial question, I'll ask another. I'm having trouble with my Bank of America app, in that, 1Password won't auto load into it, except every once and a while, when the password will load, after a failed attempt to auto load the username. And if I try to copy and paste from 1Password, I can copy either the username or the password, but after pasting one of those, when I go back to copy and paste the remaining one, the original one I've pasted is gone. What's frustrating is, that at least once in the past, both the username and password auto loaded as expected. I'm using an Android S23 FE. Thanks.
