FR: Autofill for passkeys
Per the thread title.
I have a passkey saved.
I want to login to that identity via the Chrome extension.
what work nicely:
- 1 password automatically detects the login (as expected)
- Prompt from chrome for passkey login is intercepted
what would be even more useful
Automatic behavior in line with other autofills.
Ie, logic that:
- If a passkey is available
- If only one passkey is available for this login
Then:
- Automatically provide the passkey to allow the user to authenticate

Hello danielrosehill! 👋
Thanks for reaching out! 1Password doesn't automatically sign you in with a saved passkey by design: it's to prevent a website from triggering a sign in without your consent (you might want to avoid signing in and just browse the website anonymously) or even invisibly to you. 1Password shows the "Sign in with a passkey" prompt so that you're always in control.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
