Haptic feedback on successful unlock using Face ID
This discussion was created from comments split from: Face ID failing and unreliable after update.

From time to time I still see Face ID failing on first try, with the difference that it now automatically retries a second time. But it still does the „shaking“ Taptic Engine vibration.
iPhone 15 Pro with latest iOS and 1Password app.
Will try to monitor this for a few more days, but maybe someone else has the same experience?
Edit: after some testing, I can definitely reproduce this issue. Head position not changing between the two attempts, still one failure and then it retries automatically. Happens when using the feature where the keyboard becomes one large button with the login credentials, if that’s important.

Updated to the latest version 8.10.26 a few days ago and restarted my device just for good measure.
The actual failing of the initial scan has been fixed, so that's great. However there is still Taptic feedback (synonymous with a failed attempt) that occurs pretty often, even though the initial attempt is successful.

I noticed this as well. It's nice that the unlock works, but the haptic feedback is quite annoying.

Yes, it seems that the unlock no longer fails, but the haptic feedback of a failed attempt is still here

Hello everyone,
I understand that you're seeing haptic feedback after certain successful unlock attempts when using Face ID with 1Password for iOS. I can intermittently reproduce the issue on my own device as well however I haven't been able to determine consistent reproduction steps yet.
An internal work item has been open with our development team to investigate this further and I'll reach out if any other information is needed. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

So you split this topic into a new thread to make it look like your „developers“ fixed the original issue now?

I am looking into switching to heylogin now. Seems to be a promising alternative with a unique use-case, and from first contacts their support is much more reactive and "alive". Sad to see 1Password go down in service quality, few years back this was one of the biggest advantages of 1PW compared to other solutions.
