Hello czak24! 👋
I'm sorry that you're running into trouble when accessing 1Password on your new phone after you've lost your authenticator app. If you're using 1Password on any other device then you can temporarily turn off two-factor authentication there:
If you don't have access to 1Password on any of your devices then sit tight and our support team will respond to your email soon (if they haven't already). Also, if there is any advice about how to back up authenticator data so I can avoid this in the future that would be great. I have everything set up on 1pass so this is blocking and a pretty big headache.
I recommend installing the 1Password app on multiple devices so that you can turn off 2FA from one of those devices if you lose your authenticator app. You can also add additional second factors to your 1Password account like a physical security key: Use your security key as a second factor for your 1Password account
Beyond that, you can scan the QR code using multiple authenticator apps when setting up 2FA for 1Password and the one-time password will be saved in multiple places at once. Alternatively, you can choose an authenticator app that backs up your one-time passwords to the cloud (or syncs them to other devices) so that you still have access to those one-time passwords if you lose your phone.

This is my nightmare and why I am reluctant to set up 2FA on 1Password.

Thanks for posting! See my post here for some strategies on how to avoid being locked out of your 1Password account if you choose to use 2FA.

Thanks, 1P_Dave
I found the following strategy particularly interesting and something I might be able to live with:
