How can I remove all items from my vault and save them in a backup vault

Can you tell me a little more about what you mean by "backup vault"? What are you trying to do? Are you trying to create a duplicate backup copy of your items? Or are you trying to organize your items by moving some of them to another vault so that you don't see them in your Private/Personal vault?

I am also interested in archive and could probably do this by deleting everything and having it go to an archive and bring items back from there. However, I'm concerned because I think after awhile items in archive are deleted.

Items in the Archive are not deleted unless you choose to deleted them. You can read more here: Archive and delete items
