3 years agoHow do I add 2FA keys to 1Password?
I've been using other software to handle 2FA, but now I'm considering using 1Password. I have my keys in text form, how do I add them to a password record in 1Password? I can only find an option to scan the QR inside the browser window, but not a way to copy and paste the text of the key, or even a way to scan a QR code that's somewhere else.
Thank you.

Hi @pupeno
You can manually paste the TOTP secret (but not the whole URL) into the
one-time passwordfield in the item. The secret is generally 16 characters long.If you don't see a
one-time passwordfield, you can add one by clicking "+ add more", then One-Time Password. You'll need to do this from the main 1Password app. 1Password in the browser can scan QR codes, as you've found, but if you click Edit on an item, it'll open it in the main 1Password window.
Hope that helps! :)
