how do I add an 8 digit security code where I am asked for X characters from the code at log-in
My bank login requires me to enter X number of characters from an 8 digit code - how do I save the code and get 1password to fill the appropriate characters whilst logging in?

You can view the password in Large Type mode which will display the placement numbers then you'll provide them to the site. I'm not aware of a way to automatically fill those because they will likely change from use to use as you use the site.
