How do I turn off the 1password overlay?
There is a little 1password icon that shows up on the right side of every text field. Often times, this UI element hides an element already being rendered on the right side of that text field. E.g.
This is hiding the little eye icon to reveal the typed text on this field. As someone who never uses that 1password icon (I use the auto-suggest dropdown or the keyboard shortcut), I'd like an option to remove it permanently. I tried the "Show autofill suggestions when a form field is in focus" but that just stopped the suggest menu from popping up while leaving the icon - it was worse.

This particular screenshot was from the California DMV checkout page, so not publicly accessible per se. However, you can get the effect on the login page to the CA DMV (https://www.dmv.ca.gov/) where 1PW covers the "show password" button (a design pattern that appears all over the place). I'm not as concerned about the "show password" element being hidden, but more when I'm trying to confirm something like a routing number, account number, or some other information that a page has deemed sensitive.

Thank you for the reply. I see the same behaviour on the page that you linked to and I've filed an issue with our development team to look into this further.

Hello tylercal! 👋
I'm sorry that the 1Password icon is getting in the way on certain pages. There isn't a way to turn off just that icon without also turning off autofill entirely. However, you can hide 1Password entirely on pages where the icon is interfering by right-clicking on the page and then clicking 1Password - Password Manager > Hide on this page.
Regarding the field in your screenshot itself can you tell me:
- What element on the page is it covering up? What does that element do?
- Are you able to provide a link to the web page? Is it publicly accessible?
I look forward to hearing from you.-Dave

Ah yes, turning it off on the page does work. I need to do it so often, it would be nice to have a keyboard shortcut to do so. Here is an example where the 1PW UI just won't stop interfering. This is actually the problem that happens most often for me and it's especially annoying.
Take a page like the DHL shipping calculator where they've implemented their own autocomplete. I start typing the name of the city I want to ship to, 1PW hides the results. I click on the little icon to "close" the 1PW GUI, but as I start typing the UI comes back. I close it again, now it doesn't come back as I type, but as I use the down arrow to select a result, the UI comes back!

Thank you for the feedback! I've passed along your request for a keyboard shortcut for "Hide on this page" to our Product so that they can consider adding that functionality to 1Password in the future.
