how is it possible that a password is updated in 1P8 but not reflected in the Safari extension?

I updated a login password in 1P8, but for the life of me, I can't get the password to update in the 1P for Safari extension! I.e. if I click on the 1P icon in the Safari toolbar, it still shows the ...

Hey @odysseus,

Thanks for messaging us! Your 1Password items sync automatically as long as you're online and if you are offline it will update as soon as you come online. From what you mentioned, you may need to reset 1Password in Safari:

  1. Clear Safari's cache by following the instructions posted here: Clear cache & cookies.
  2. Right-click on the 1Password icon on Safari's toolbar > Manage Extension.
  3. Click 'Uninstall'
  4. Install a fresh copy of 1Password from here: Get started with 1Password in your browser by clicking 'Install' under the Safari icon > Close and Open Safari > Try 1Password again.

If this fixes the issue, please let me know and we can dive into what could be happening to the 1Password for Safari Extension. After the extension is fixed I will help you figure out what is going on with the 1Password for iOS app.
